1.1 Service Terms and Conditions

Prior to carrying out any work, our mechanics will undertake an assessment of your bicycle to determine the condition of your bicycle and will advise you of any additional work that may be required and/or parts that may require replacing and the costs of this work.

 

Additional work will not be carried out without your consent. However, should you choose not to follow our recommendations, we cannot guarantee that your bicycle will work as it should.

1.2 Completion of Work

​

We will endeavour to complete any work to your bicycle as soon as possible and within the estimated time scales that we have provided you with, however this may not always be possible.

1.3 Call-out/Delivery Fees

​

Call-out fees are mandatory and must be paid in full on completion of visit whether work has or has not been undertaken to your bicycle. A call-out fee will be discussed before a visit and may be waivered in certain circumstances. 

​

Delivery fees are mandatory and must be paid upon delivery of the bicycle. If the bicycle is found to be faulty upon delivery then you will be subject to a delivery fee refund (see 1.7).

1.4 Price and Payment

​

The price for the work including any additional work which you have authorised for us to carry out will be as quoted to you by ourselves. Payment in full is required on completion of any work undertaken to your bicycle.

1.5 Guarantee

​

All replacement parts provided by CycleSafe as part of a service or repair will be guaranteed for a period of 3 months, all labour and workmanship is guaranteed for a period of 1 month commencing from the date of the work being undertaken, or the date of sale of the bicycle from CycleSafe.

This guarantee is subject to you:

​

(a) maintaining the bicycle in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty

(b) allowing CycleSafe to carry out the repair work required

​

This guarantee is not valid where, in CycleSafe's reasonable opinion, defects with the bicycle have occurred due to fair wear and tear, improper use, criminal or malicious damage, fire, theft, instances where the bicycle has been used in an incorrect manner or you have continued to use the bicycle after the defect or fault developed.

1.6 Risk

​

Any personal items left on the bicycle when it is provided to CycleSafe are left at the customer's own risk and CycleSafe accepts no liability for any loss or damage to these items. We recommend you remove any such items prior to handing us your bicycle.

​

When we visit you, we will ask you where you feel is most comfortable for us to work. You may choose for a mechanic to work on the bicycle/s in your garden, garage or at the front of the property. Wherever this will be, CycleSafe will carry out a short risk assessment to ensure that the environment is safe for a mechanic to undertake work in, and will let you know of any potential concerns that could affect the mechanic in the period that the work is being undertaken. Should a mechanic cause accidental damage to your bicycle, CycleSafe is insured for accidental damage against third party property and we will strive to resolve any problems caused in a professional manner.

1.7 Returns and Refunds of Bicycles

​

Returns and refunds of bicycles sold by CycleSafe, and any delivery fees paid, are not accepted unless the bicycle is found to be faulty from the date of purchase or not as described. Should CycleSafe find that you are liable for a refund, the bicycle is expected to be returned to CycleSafe unless stated otherwise. To return the bicycle, it is mandatory that you meet the following conditions:

a) CycleSafe is alerted of any faults or issues with the bike within 30 days of purchase (from the point of contact with the bicycle) and a description with the faults or issues found with the bicycle are depicted in an email sent directly to management at manager@cyclesafeuk.com.

b) The customer must provide some form of proof of payment, this can be a bank statement, an email or some form of confirmation to prove the bicycle was provided by CycleSafe and sold to yourself.

c) Bicycles must be returned to us in the same way that they were bought from us with all original parts and accessories sold with the bicycle. CycleSafe will inspect that all original parts and accessories are present in the return before confirming the refund.

d) The bicycle has not been damaged intentionally or damaged further, CycleSafe will inspect for damage on the bicycle and if it is found that it was intentionally damaged or used further after the faults were discovered, then you will not be liable for a refund.
